System Requirements
Minimal requirements to run Keepthescore: internet connection and modern browser. Works on all devices.
How it works: two devices
Keepthescore works best with two devices:
- One device to update scores — this is what you or your scorekeeper uses (phone, laptop, tablet)
- One device to display the scoreboard — connected to a TV, projector, or screen that your audience sees
Both devices need an internet connection, but they do not need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. You can update scores from your phone on mobile data while the display runs on a separate Wi-Fi network.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Keepthescore offline?
No. An active internet connection is required on each device at all times.
Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network?
No. Each device only needs its own internet connection — they can be on completely different networks. You could update scores from a phone using mobile data while the scoreboard displays on a TV connected to venue Wi-Fi.
How do I display on a TV or projector?
Connect any device with a web browser to your display. Common options:
- Computer/laptop via HDMI
- Chromecast or similar streaming device
- Smart TV with built-in browser
- Tablet or phone with screen mirroring
