KeepTheScore was conceived to use as little personal data as possible. In fact, it is possible to use it without supplying any personal data at all.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect the following personal data:

  • IP Addresses
  • Names of players (if voluntarily provided)
  • Email addresses (required for optional login and for payment)

KeepTheScore uses cookies to provide, secure and improve our service or to develop new features and functionality of our Service. For example, we use them to keep you logged in. These cookies are essential. You cannot use this service without accepting these cookies.

If you use our free (non-premium) services, you will be asked to opt in to advertising cookies. See section on advertising below.

How long is data stored for?

KeepTheScore currently stores scoreboards indefinitely to provide its services. You can ask for any board you own or your own user account to be permanently deleted.

Twilio Sendgrid (essential)

We use services provided by Twillio Sendgrid , based in Denver, Colorado, USA, to send transactional mails. For example, a welcome mail upon signing up.

We use services provided by Mailerlite to send our newsletters. You must opt in to receive the newsletter and can unsubscribe at any time.

Fathom Analytics (essential)

Keepthescore.com uses Fathom Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and complies with the GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA and CCPA. Using this privacy-friendly website analytics software, your IP address is only briefly processed, and Fathom Analytics has no way of identifying you. As per the CCPA, your personal information is de-identified. You can read more about this on Fathom Analytics' website.

The purpose of using this software is to understand our website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that we can continually improve our website and business. The lawful basis as per the GDPR is "f); where our legitimate interests are to improve our website and business continually." As per the explanation, no personal data is stored over time.

Amplitude Analytics (essential)

Keepthescore.com uses Amplitude Analytics, a service provided by Amplitude Inc., to collect and analyze user behavior on our website/app. The data collected by Amplitude Analytics is used to help us better understand how our users interact with our services and to help us improve them. This data may include information about your device and its software, such as your IP address, email address, browser type, and operating system, as well as details about your usage of our website/app, such as the pages you view, the time spent on each page, and the actions you take. Google Analytics 4 (optional)

Google Analytics is only used on free scoreboards and leaderboards to enable advertising.

Google Analytics collects the following information through the default implementation:

  • Number of users
  • Session statistics
  • Approximate geolocation
  • Browser and device information

Google Analytics stores a client ID in a first-part cookie named _ga to distinguish unique users and their sessions on your website. Analytics doesn't store the client ID when analytics storage is disabled through Consent Mode.

Advertising (optional)

Free scoreboards and leaderboards show ads. If you have premium membership, the following paragraph does not apply.

This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive ("Raptive") for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. Hyvor Talk (optional)

Keepthescore.com uses Hyvor Talk to enable optional comments and reactions on boards.

Hyvor Talk operates the https://talk.hyvor.com website and provides a commenting platform for websites.

If you enabled commenting, the following data is collected by Hyvor Talk:

  • Webpage URL - Used in the console and emails
  • Webpage Identifier - Used to identify each webpage uniquely.
  • Current IP address
  • User email (if logged in)

Hyvor Talk does not place any tracking, advertising, affiliate, or any third-party codes on client websites.

Paddle (optional)

You can optionally buy a premium membership. To do so, you must provide data necessary to complete the order. The data provided in the order form will be stored in the database and will be stored there until the expiry of the limitation period for claims under the concluded contract. Each order is recorded in the database as a separate item. The legal basis for collecting and processing this data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR. The above-mentioned principles for data processing also apply in this context.

Payment for the order is made via Paddle.com. In this regard Paddle is an independent personal data administrator.

Payment processing services enable us to process payments by credit card, bank transfer or other means. To ensure greater security, we only shares the information necessary to execute the transaction with the financial intermediaries handling the transaction. Some of our services may also enable the sending of timed messages to you, such as emails containing invoices or notifications concerning the payment.

Updates to this policy

From time to time, Keepthescore.com will revise this policy, without further notice. Keepthescore.com recommends that you regularly check whether this policy has been revised. However, Keepthescore.com will notify users via notifications in the app about any major changes that would negatively impact User’s interests.
