Choosing the right tool
There are of course already a large number of apps and websites that allow you to manage and play online fantasy sports. But maybe you don't want to use one of these tools because:
- They are too complex
- They are too expensive
- They don't have the right features
- They are over-sized
- You have a data privacy concerns
For this guide, we'll be using Keepthescore.com, a versatile and user-friendly tool that lets you create and share leaderboards for virtually any purpose. It's perfect for tracking your fantasy sports rankings and is easy to get started with. You'll be able to generate a leaderboard that's
- accessible as a standalone webpage,
- shareable with anyone you'd like to include in the fun.
However, there is no integration of any sports data nor are there any automations for calculating scores based on some formula. If you want to calculate points, use the Excel-based option (see below).
Setting Up Your Fantasy Sports Leaderboard
You have 2 options for creating a leaderboard
1. Use an existing Excel file
If you already have your data in an Excel file, then this is the easiest route to take. You can do all the calculations in Excel and then simply upload the resulting file. To update your leaderboard, you update the Excel file and then upload again. Choose this option if you want to have a real league table.

After you have created your standings or league table, customize it further by selecting a theme that fits your fantasy sport through the "SETTINGS" option. You can read more about what you can customize in the customization guide.
2. Web Interface Updates
Our web interface provides a straightforward way to update standings directly online. It works smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices, making it easy to update scores right from your mobile device.

- Want to update scores on the go
- Need multiple people to help with updates
- Like a clean, simple interface

💡 Extra Tip: Premium users can customize their leaderboard even further by uploading a logo. Ensure it's a PNG with a transparent background for the best appearance.
No Cost to Start
Keepthescore.com offers its basic services for free, which is usually sufficient for casual and semi-competitive fantasy leagues. This version is ad-supported. For those looking for more features and an ad-free experience, a premium upgrade is available.
Engaging Your League Members
After setting up, share your leaderboard with your league to make your fantasy sports season more interactive:
- Select "SHARE" to prepare your leaderboard for sharing.
- Choose one of the options shown below to decide on how you want the sharing to work. If you just want to show the public score, choose Share the public link
