Anyone can keep score

Delegate scorekeeping by sharing a simple link or QR code. Any team member can update scores from their own device.

No expensive hardware

Save thousands by eliminating dedicated scoreboard equipment. Transform screens you already own into scoring displays.

5 seconds to setup

Get scoring immediately with one-click setup. No complicated configuration—just select your sport and start.

Live results and updates for sports streams

Scroll standings, finishers, fixtures, and mid-game updates under your broadcast while the action plays on. Pair it with a scoreboard overlay for the score itself — the ticker handles everything that doesn't fit in a scorebug.

Announcements for events, tournaments and community TV

Schedule changes, court assignments, sponsor thank-yous, donation totals, housekeeping — one scrolling bar keeps your audience informed at conferences, charity streams, church services, and school events.

Update it from your phone while the stream runs

The ticker is controlled from a simple admin page. Edit the messages on a phone or laptop, press update, and every viewer sees the new text within a second — no scene reload, no re-export, no interruption.

Features

Update it live from anywhere

Type your messages on a phone or laptop and hit update — every screen and stream changes at the same instant, with no scene reload.

Transparent OBS browser source

The public link renders the bar on a fully transparent page — drop it into OBS, Streamlabs, or vMix and it sits cleanly over your video.

One message per line

Write each update on its own line — results, announcements, sponsor credits — and they scroll past, joined by a separator you choose.

Title box

A pinned label at the left of the bar — "LIVE", your event name, or a sponsor credit — that stays put while the messages scroll past.

Show and hide with one switch

Flip the master switch and the ticker slides smoothly off the public display — perfect for breaks, replays, and clean-frame segments.

Height, position & speed

Anchor the bar to the bottom or top of the frame, pick one of three bar heights, and set the scroll speed to match your broadcast.

Hand off to a helper

A separate scorekeeper link opens just the message editor and the master switch — a helper can update the ticker without touching your setup.

Custom colors

Restyle the bar gradient, the title box, and the text to match your stream. Custom colors show on the public display with a paid plan.

Custom bar artwork

Upload your own PNG strip as the bar background, with a text offset for baked-in title zones. Shows on the public display with a paid plan.

Stream Ticker FAQ

Create your stream ticker, copy its display link, and add it to OBS or Streamlabs as a browser source sized to your canvas (e.g. 1920×1080). The page background is transparent, so only the bar shows over your video. Full walkthrough in the Stream Ticker guide.

OBS's built-in Text source can scroll with a filter, but you have to edit it inside OBS every time the message changes. A browser-source scrolling ticker like this one keeps the scrolling text outside OBS — update it from any phone or laptop mid-stream and the new text appears without touching your scenes.

Yes — creating a ticker, updating the text live, and using it as an OBS overlay are free. Custom colors and a custom PNG bar background show on the public display with a paid plan.

Yes — that's the point. Open your admin link on any device, edit the messages, and press "Update ticker". Every viewer sees the new text within a second, with no scene reload and no re-render.

Yes. The control panel has a master switch — turn it off and the bar slides out of frame on the public display, turn it on and it slides back in. Your text is kept while it's hidden.

The scrolling text along the bottom of a news broadcast is called a news ticker — also a crawler or a crawl, after the ticker-tape machines that once printed telegraph headlines. It cycles through short messages in a horizontal strip while the main picture keeps playing. This tool puts the same scrolling ticker under your own live stream.

A lower third is a graphic overlay in the lower part of a video frame — the strip where broadcasts show names, scores, and headlines. A ticker is a scrolling lower third: it cycles through as many messages as you like without taking more screen space.

No. It's just as useful for announcements at conferences, church services, school events, charity streams, and community TV — anywhere you want rotating messages over live video. For a score overlay with team names and points, use a scoreboard overlay instead (you can run both at once).

Not yet — today you paste and update the messages yourself, which keeps you in full control of what goes on air. Automatic feed ingestion is on the roadmap.
