2. Choosing the Right Layout

Layout Options

The first and most important decision is choosing your layout based on how you'll use the scoreboard. You will find the following setting under the team settings:

Scoreboard layout options

Scorebug Layout:

  • Best for: Streamers using OBS or streaming software
  • Teams displayed horizontally in a compact format
  • Minimal screen space usage - appears as an overlay
  • Professional broadcast appearance
  • Takes up only a small portion of the screen

Scoreboard Layout:

  • Best for: TV displays, projectors, or dedicated screens
  • Teams displayed vertically with game info at the bottom
  • Full-screen scoreboard display
  • Traditional scoreboard look with larger text
  • Maximum visibility from a distance

Note: Each sport has different layout options, many have more than 2. But there is always at least one layout suitable for streaming and one for display.

Layout-Specific URLs

For certain sports, you can use pre-configured URLs that lock the scoreboard to a specific layout. This is perfect when you want to display different layouts on different devices simultaneously.

To access these layout-specific URLs:

  1. Click the Open Display Scoreboard button in the scoreboard preview panel
  2. Look for "Do you want to show different layouts on different devices/displays?" and click to expand
  3. Choose from the available layout URLs
